It tells the story of Queen Charlotte and King George of England, which was inspired by the true story of the historical figures of the same name. Some fans of the franchise even said that the spin-off tugged at their hearts more than "Bridgerton."

Another show created by Mike Flanagan, who is known for his horror work, "Midnight Mass" takes place on an island that is small enough for everyone to know each other. It begins with a man, Riley Flynn who returns to his town after serving in prison for killing a girl in a drunk-driving accident.

Not long after, the arrival of a priest begins to be the talk of the people, along with the bizarre things happening on the island like many dead cats washing up on shore. Residents of the island then experience supernatural occurrences, ones they are unaware are the beginning of a darker ending.
