"Uncharted" is based on the video game of the same name developed by Naughty Dog. The first movie served as the prequel to the video games with the premise focused on young Nathan Drake and his early adventures.

The film followed Tom Holland, who played Drake's character, as he got recruited by Sullivan to search for the lost fortune of the House of Moncada. Despite, praises for Holland's portrayal fans felt that the film failed to capture the true spirit of the video game.
