Planet Coaster 2 Unveils New Features

Planet Coaster was first released in 2016 which features four different modes such as Sandbox, Challenge, Career, and Scenario Editor. Players will take the role of creating or finishing the theme park to attract visitors.

Frontier Developments announced that after eight years a sequel will soon be available to modern consoles and PCs. The trailer showed pre-alpha engine footage featuring new water park attractions.

Fans can expect a more fun pool area, a unique waterslide, water coasters, and more. Players can also customize their aquatic experience by building changing rooms, lifeguards, and sunbeds.

Planet Coaster 2 to Allow Collaborative Theme Parks

The first Planet Coaster was focused on designing theme parks as a single player. According to the developer, the sequel will debut a new feature that will allow players to co-create theme parks with friends.

Frontier Developments said that players can edit the shared theme park one at a time and then save the progress for others to see. Each saved progress will be loaded to the next designer.

"Be inspired by spectacular real-world parks and create vibrant guest plazas with enhanced building and pathing tools. Intuitive piece-by-piece building tools and mesmerizing new themes make it simple for players to elevate their park building to the next level," the team wrote.

The Planet Coaster 2 will retain its three game modes: career, sandbox, and challenge mode.
