Disney Faces Potential Breach; Hackers Claim Stealing 1TB of Concept Art, Personal Data

Disney could face a massive breach as a group of hackers claim to have stolen 1TB of files containing concept art and personal data from the company.

The hackers known as "Nullbulge" claimed to have accessed and gathered information about the company's upcoming projects.

Hackers Allegedly Collected Data From Internal Slack Conversation

According to reports, hackers were able to gain access to the company's internal Slack which contained information about unreleased projects, login details, personal details, and concept arts. The group also provided a screenshot wherein 1.1TB of files were gathered.

Disney has yet to address the news as the company has not responded to any outlets about the issue. Hence, there is still no accurate information about the extent or the legitimacy of the hacking incident.

The entertainment giant has been busy releasing various original IPs such as the new "Deadpool" movie, along with other Marvel projects that are yet to come out.

Hackers Target Internal Slack of Media, Gaming Companies

Breaching company Slack channels has been a common strategy for hackers, especially for large companies that hold various unreleased files. Previously, Rockstar Games suffered a breach that caused some of its files to be leaked online.

Reports showed that Rockstar lost $5 million due to the leak of over 90 videos about the much-awaited release of Grand Theft Auto 6. Insomniac Games also suffered a massive breach that cost them one million files.

While Disney has yet to confirm the incident, the hackers have allegedly started to leak some of its files. A recent report showed the internal presentation for Aliens Fireteam Elite 2, including details about the gameplay.
