Apple Intelligence has yet to impress its customers and live up to its hype as the company planned a slow release of features to the public.
The announced features of the new AI software will have their debut in iOS 18, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, probably a month after the new iPhone arrives.
Apple Intelligence Releases on Developers Program
Earlier this month, Apple officially launched the developer beta for iOS 18.1 for registered developers. The new software is available for those who pay the $99 annual fee for the program, allowing developers to gain early access.
Previous reports have shown that Apple intends to publicly release its much-awaited AI software in October. This means that the next-generation iPhone will arrive first to the customers before they experience Apple Intelligence.
Bloomberg shared that the first beta version of the software has yet to live up to the excitement as claimed by the company. The features are still far from the promised capabilities during its introduction.
Apple Intelligence Limits Features for First Beta Version
The first beta version opens a new world to the Apple ecosystem. For instance, Apple Intelligence offers suggested replies to texts in the Messages and Mail apps.
Most of the early features are also focused on summarizing content from an Apple app. It could summarize text, emails, web searches, and notifications based on the content.
The Writing Tools offers a set of features that can transform selected texts into lists or tables. It could also summarize and improve the context depending on the appropriate tone needed.
The new Siri interface is the highlighted feature of Apple Intelligence. The glowing animation once Siri is enabled is now available. However, much of the promised advanced capabilities of the digital assistant are yet to come.
Apple assured that the fully revamped Siri will be available in 2025.
