Nearly four years since the first over-the-ear headphones from Apple was released, the AirPods Max 2 is now reportedly coming later this year to deliver next-generation audio experiences for users.
The AirPods has become a success, and it even evolved from simply being an audio device to being a statement piece for those who own and wear it.
Apple AirPods Max 2 is Reportedly Coming Later This Year

he long-awaited over-the-ear music device has not seen an upgrade since its 2020 release, which features the H1 chip, but new claims say that the next-generation headphones will bring significant improvements.
That being said, this remains unconfirmed, and the report merely pointed out that Apple is known for releasing new AirPods devices during its September event.

AirPods Max 2: Release Date, Price, New Features
The AirPods Max 2 is reportedly part of thie Apple event in September, but a release date has yet to be confirmed as of press time.
It has been expected and speculated upon that the AirPods Max 2 will feature the latest audio chip from the Cupertino-based tech giant, the H2, which is best known for its availability in the AirPods Pro 2. This will bring Adaptive Audio with Transparency and Noise Cancellation (ANC), Conversation Awareness, and Personalized Volume.
The AirPods Max 2 is said to also feature Voice Isolation during calls, Siri response gestures such as nodding or shaking of the head, and Personalized Spacial Audio with head tracking for gaming.
Lastly, AirPods Max 2 will also reportedly upgrade its charging to USB-C.
Apple's AirPods Max: Is It Worth It?
The Apple AirPods Max was debuted by the Cupertino-based tech giant in December 2020, and its debut took the form of an announcement instead of taking place in an event. It is the first wireless headphones device from Apple, which has long been known for focusing on in-ear and on-ear wearables.
Examples of which are its wired EarPods as well as the wireless AirPods.
The AirPods Max has drawn significant comparisons to Apple's Beats by Dre, particularly as it also features wireless Bluetooth headphones that have special capabilities and features available. That being said, the AirPods Max still stands out due to the quality of its build, design, chipset, and sound signature.
It should be noted that it also offers notable improvements for connecting to Apple devices and voice quality for calls.
However, one of its biggest drawbacks is that it is expensive, setting back users $549 apiece. This price is hundreds of dollars more expensive than other premium headphones that can deliver almost the same experience.
Still, it has been in demand in the market, with many awaiting Apple's next release.
