The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is headed to the UK as well, going up for pre-order this Friday, Nov. 14, ahead of a commercial release on Nov. 28.
When Samsung took the wraps off its Galaxy Note Edge back in early September, it led everyone to believe that the device would see a limited rollout, much like the Galaxy Round curved-display smartphone from last year.
More recently, however, news came out that the intriguing Galaxy Note Edge is expanding its availability and is ready to hit more territories. After confirming that the Note Edge will hit the U.S. soon, Samsung has now told The Inquirer that the device will hit the UK as well.
"Samsung can confirm that the UK is one of the markets that has been chosen to range the Galaxy Note Edge," a Samsung spokesperson confirmed in a statement to The Inquirer. "The device will be available to buy from selected retailers from Friday 28th November, with the option to pre-order from Samsung eStore and Carphone Warehouse on Friday 14th November."
This news follows confirmation from Vodafone, which earlier this week added the Google Nexus 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge to the list of devices set to join its lineup soon.
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is a premium device with top-notch specs and features all around, boasting a nearly identical set of specifications to the Galaxy Note 4. The big difference lies in the Note Edge's unique "Edge Screen," which serves as a secondary display that wraps around the edge of the device to display more information or provide access to additional touch controls.
In terms of technical specs, the Galaxy Note Edge sports a 5.6-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 2440 pixels, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7GHz, and a hefty 3GB of RAM. Other specs include 32GB or 64GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for additional memory of up to 128GB, a 16-megapixel rear camera, and Cat 6 LTE support. The device further comes with the same popular stylus as the Galaxy Note 4.
It remains unclear at this point, however, just how much the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will cost when it hits the UK. Neither Samsung nor Vodafone have offered any details in this regards just yet, but the device is expected to carry quite a hefty price tag.
Some retailers such as Mobicity and Mobilefun, for instance, started selling the SIM-free Galaxy Note Edge with premium prices of £649.99 and £645, respectively.
