'Dark Souls 3' Update: 3 Million Copies Shipped; Gamers Report Poise Stat Not Working

Bandai Namco is surely celebrating, as "Dark Souls 3" proved to be a massive hit. The latest title from the studio has reached a new milestone, shipping a total of 3 million copies. Meanwhile, gamers have found out what seem to be a glitch in the Poise stat.

According to Polygon, the titular action role-playing game courtesy of FromSoftware (developer) and Bandai Namco (publisher) has set a new record. The launching of "Dark Souls 3" has been deemed as the greatest release in all of its franchise history.

It should be noted, however, that the figure refers to the total quantity of copies shipped to retailers, not the actual units being sold. Nonetheless, it is safe to say that the game will likely climb the success ladder.

The first and second shipment managed to acquire 1.2 million copies individually, roughly the same figures soon after Bandai Namco launched the third installment in their "Dark Souls" franchise.

The Japan-based video game publisher revealed that the series has sold a total of 13 million units. As for "Dark Souls 3" installment, it has now reached a total of 1.5 million copies to North America, while 1 million and 500,000 for Europe and Asia, respectively.

In related news, Kotaku reports that some players have been complaining about the game's Poise stat, saying that it does not seem to be working at all. Many deemed it as a glitch, but FromSoftware insisted otherwise.

The popular video game company known for the "Souls" and "Armored Core" series said that the Poise stat is working just find. That speculations about it being turned off at times are all but false. It holds true, however, the new "Dark Souls 3" Poise stat works differently than in the previous games and acts on certain situations. This could certainly be the reason behind the confusion.

As of this writing, Bandai Namco has already reached out to FromSoftware, as it has received several reports regarding the alleged glitch.
