Playing "Dark Souls 3" is no easy task. Heck, it cannot even be beaten in one single sitting. And yes, the boss Soul of Cinder is just one of the many creatures a player must defeat. But hey, a fan was actually able to dominate the villain. What is more interesting? He did it by using a Dance Pad! Here is how.
According to VG247, a YouTube channel named ATwerkingYoshi beat FromSoftware's "Dark Souls 3" by way of using the titular Dance Pad. And to make the activity even more exciting, he reportedly live-streamed it.
The said "Dark Souls 3" fan was able to defeat the game in approximately 44 hours and 26 minutes using the aforementioned device. But of course, the whole run was not all moonlight and roses. He succumbed to at least 364 deaths. In fact, he even shifted from using the Heavy Dark Sword to the Yhorm GreatShield. And for the hardest foe, the credit goes to the Dancer of the Boreal Valley.
The "Dark Souls 3" video is over 10 minutes of footage. It is enough to give fans a look-see at how the YouTuber was able to defeat the Soul of the Cinder. It should be noted that ATwerkingYoshi is also a Twitch streamer. So for interested fans, they can check out that channel as well.
Polygon, on the other hand, notes that the aforesaid "Dark Souls 3" player started his Dance Pad run for the game in April. And take note: he has neither direct experience of the title nor played the previous installments.
Reports have it that "Dark Souls 3" is just among the games he was able to complete using the dancing method. The list includes "Super Mario 64," "Street Fighter 2: Turbo" and "Kingdom Hearts 2," among others.
The first DLC for "Dark Souls 3" is believed to arrive in this year's fall, sometime in September perhaps. The final and last content will arrive in early 2017. The studio has no plans of releasing any follow-ups and/or spin-offs for the popular franchise.
