Apple Completely Redesigns 2016 Macbook Pro; Rumors Confirmed

Apple is completely redesigning its Macbook Pro laptops. There have been reports that the Cupertino-based company is conducting tests of its new laptops since January of this year.

Apple is currently suffering from slow sales for two consecutive quarters, according to Bloomberg. Sales of its iPad lines have considerably slowed down because the average customers tend to use it for a minimum of three years before buying a replacement. In contrast, iPhone are usually for used for a maximum of two years before they are replaced. This September, Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 7, according to Bloomberg.

The MacBook laptop lines are one of Apple's strongest products right now. The 2015 sales figure for the MacBooks increased by more than $25 billion, or a 6 percent increase from 2014. However, iPad sales for the same period decreased to $23 billion, which is equivalent to a 23 percent decline.

Apple insiders believed that the current redesigning of the 2016 Macbook Pro laptop probably means that it is unlikely to debut this September. The upcoming Macbook Pro will reportedly be thinner and lighter.

Ming-Chi Kuo, from KGI said that the 2016 Macbook Pro will have an additional and smaller display located just above the standard keyboard. It is intended to replace the old function keys. The additional display will feature an OLED screen that features great resolution.

Another significant update for the upcoming laptop is the use of "Polaris" graphic chips from AMD. Apple's usual supplier has always been Intel. However, it seems that the 2016 Macbook Pro, or at least its high end variant, may be equipped with the AMD graphic chips, according to an earlier iTech Post report. One security feature that is rumored to be included in the upcoming laptop is the Touch ID or fingerprint authentication system.

Apple has not yet officially announced the launch date for the 2016 Macbook Pro. Fans however, are hoping that the company will release it real soon.
