If players think Rocket League cannot get any better, well, they are simply wrong. Psyonix, the developer behind the game, plans to unleash a new update that will change the overall experience of its current title. The physics-themed vehicular soccer video game will receive a new mode called Rumble via the upcoming update.
According to the International Business Times, the studio recently released a new Rocket League trailer via the game's official YouTube channel. It is titled Rocket League -- Rumble Trailer, which features (in bird's eye view) the so-called Rumble mode. And judging by the way it looks, a new kind of excitement will be experienced in the game.
The said Rocket League video introduces new interesting elements as well. Some of these are new sets of power-ups in which players can use to gain more advantage against their opponents. A day before the release of the video, the people behind the game revealed that the update is slated to arrive next month.
Among the numbers of new Rocket League power-ups is called "The Boot." And as the name suggests, it kicks the car of the opponent, as reported by GameSpot. If players want to experience the thrill of punching the ball, the Haymaker is their best bet. All in all, there are 11 of them -- 8 of which are below.
- Disruptor - Makes the opponent drive uncontrollably
- Freezer - Freezes the ball in-place
- Grappling Hook - Pulls a player towards the ball
- Magnetizer - Attracts the ball to the player's car
- Plunger - Grabs the ball via plunger and cord
- Power Hitter - Allows players to hit everything harder
- Spike - Attaches ball to a player's car when bumping it
- Swapper - Changes positions on the field with a player's opponent
- Tornado - Sweeps up the ball and cars into a giant funnel cloud
It is worth noting that the Rumble mode is just one of the many features the new Rocket League update will introduce. Furthermore, it is going to be free and can be accessed only via Private and Exhibition matches.
