Barely have people been introduced to the Samsung Galaxy S7 when talk about its successor has come up. Already there is much talk about the Samsung Galaxy S8 when it won't be due out until at least early next year. People though are already speculating as to what would be featured in Samsung's next flagship phone.
While there is much talk about the Samsung Galaxy X, people are also wondering about Samsung's next flagship smart phone. One of the speculations about the Galaxy S8 is that it will have dual rear cameras. According to GSM Arena these cameras will have two resolutions: one will be 12MP while the other will be 13MP.
Dual cameras aren't exactly new, and other smart phone manufacturers already have them much earlier than Samsung did. However this is news for people as it would be the first time that Samsung will have it on its flagship smart phone.
This rumor about Samsung giving the Galaxy S8 dual rear cameras came from a reliable tipster on Weibo, China's version of Twitter. Phone Arena says that the dual camera system is to allow for a better depth in focusing as well as for low light conditions. One camera will be made by Samsung while the other has not been known so far, though there is much speculation that the other camera would be made by Sony.
Aside from dual rear cameras, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will also have an 8MP front camera. This would be an increase from the 5MP front camera that is currently on the Galaxy S7. It would also be the first increase in resolution for Samsung's front camera in many years.
There would be another camera aside from the rear and front cameras, though this one is for the iris scanner which has first come out on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 this year. As of now these are the only rumored features for the Samsung Galaxy S8, though as it has been in the past there will likely be more rumors about it as its release date draws closer.
