Pokemon Go players are starting to get an Easter Egg of some sorts. Pikachu starts from walking buddy to shoulder buddy after finishing a task.

The most notable of this Pokemon Go Easter Eggs is Pikachu transforming from walking to shoulder buddy. Trainers simply have to walk for 10 kilometers with Pikachu. Afterwards, the cute Pokemon will sit on the Player's shoulder according to one Reddit poster.
Other Pokemon Players have also posted several possible tasks that could get players some Ester Egg treats.
- Players can walk a particular Pokemon in a particular order in order to get a single candy for each one of them.
- Walking a Pokemon can entitle a player at least a candy for every kind of Pokemon.
- Walk several Pokemon such as the Dragonite, Lapras and Snorlax to get a candy for each of them.
- Walking all the Starter Pokemon will entitle the player a candy for each one.
- Walking every Pokemon can give a corresponding candy to the player, according to merlipatt.
- A certain accumulated amount of kilometers walked may entitle the Pokemon player a free Pokemon, according to MzRed.
- Walking a particular Pokemon may enable players to find and catch the same Pokemon. For example, walking a Pikachu can help players find another Pikachu along the way.
There are a lot of possible scenarios presented where players can be rewarded for certain tasks completed. Many of these Pokemon Go tasks have yet to be proven.
About the Pikachu Shoulder Buddy
A Pikachu on the Trainer's shoulder certainly looks great. But it does not add anything of value either to the player or Pokemon. The Pikachu on the shoulder will not receive any points not will it evolve to become a Raichu. Many hope however, that it can do so in the Niantic patch of Pokemon Go.
