Overwatch completive players can find themselves playing in solo queues. Here are some tips that can help players maintain or even move up to the ranks.

1. Players Should Select Heroes That Gives Best Result Possible

A player in solo queue could pick a hero that could help contribute to the team's success despite being complete strangers to one another. A hero such as Zarya can helped her team mates a lot in inflicting damage to opponents as well as a tank and protector with her shield barrier. Of course it is up to the players to choose a hero they believe has a distinct advantage in solo queue.

2. Maintain Line of Communication with Other Team Mates

Overwatch competitive players prefer to team up with friends since it's easier communicating with them. In solo queue, there is the possibility that team mates will either ignore or refuse to communicate with one another. In such situation, you could start the conversation rolling. It is preferable for the team to communicate via voice chat, according to Overwatch Central.

Players in solo queue should adopt a more conservative kind of play and keep calm. Initially, the team may have trouble coordinating their attacks or defense. But as long they communicate with each other, team mates will soon find their footing and play as one team instead of individual players.
