"New Girl" Season 6 is just a few days away from its release and fans are getting quite excited as to what's in store for them this time.
The latest instalment of the hit comedy series "New Girl" is expected to showcase different "couple struggles" - from Nick and Winston's long-distance relationship with their respective partners to Schimdt and Cece's house hunting, not to mention Jess' struggle to forget Nick.
According to reports, "New Girl" Season 6 will pick up three months after the events that transpired last season.
Nick And Reagan's Long-Distance Relationship
Megan Fox has been confirmed to reprise her role as Reagan in "New Girl" Season 6. According to TVLine, Reagan will be part of a huge arc and will appear in at least eight episodes this season.
To recall, Nick (Jake Johnson) and Reagan (Megan Fox) reunited in season 5 and stayed together in New Orleans for about three months. Their time together has turned Nick to a better person. According to executive producer Brett Baer, Nick has "blossomed into a whole new version of Nick Miller," and that he has learned to do things like cooking.
However, reports confirmed that Reagan won't appear until midseason, which basically means the couple won't be together during the first half of "New Girl" Season 6. Will this have an effect in their relationship?
Jess' Struggle To Move On From Nick
Meanwhile, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) is still having a hard time forgetting Nick. Amidst her best effort to get him off her mind, Nick made his sudden return to the loft that puts her in an awkward position.
With Jess "trying to wrestle her feelings" for Nick, and seeing his new and improved version, it'll be even more challenging for her to move on. Although fans are still rooting for Nick and Jess to rekindle their relationship, that may not be the case for now. Baer confirmed that "New Girl" Season 6 is going to "invest in the Nick/Reagan relationship."
Winston And Aly's Complicated Relationship
On the other hand, Winston (Lamorne Morris) is also going to have a complicated long-distance relationship with his girlfriend Aly (Nasim Pedrad) who is "taking an FBI training course in Virginia." According to reports, Aly will appear in "New Girl" Season 6 episode 3 as she visits Winston. While their relationship remained unclear at the end of season 5, it's safe to assume that the two are dating in the upcoming season.
Schmidt And Cece's House Hunt
As for the newlyweds, Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Cece (Hannah Simone) will feel the need to find an apartment all to themselves. The couple also consider having a baby. Reports claim that the couple will be struggling to pick out a house. Does it mean that the couple will move out of the loft soon?
"New Girl" Season 6 will be returning to FOX on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
