‘Assassin’s Creed’ Gameplay, Release News: Ubisoft Announces No Franchise Release Soon, But Prequels Hinted; ‘Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Collection’ & ‘Watch Dogs 2’ Confirmed In November

"Assassin's Creed" next installment is expected to have additional content, a better storyline and even a prequel to all included in the series. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot did not entirely put off the possibility of a game franchise release.

"Assassin's Creed" is unlikely to be released this year. According to Guillemot, the game will be released only when it is ready. The company executive also announced that the game has a lot of potential that the entire team of developers does not want to rush the planning of the next gameplay experience. Reports also indicate that the timing for a launch would be more fitting, since the company is also reportedly working on other projects at the moment.

According to "Assassin's Creed'" developer, they want to ensure that their model will be modified to have more time bringing back a better game experience. Having released in 2007, the game has launched a number of smaller sub games and spin offs, with the "Assassin Creed Syndicate" as the last in the series. However, Ubisoft announced in February that the company will not have the game this year.

Also, an "Assassin Creed" 2017 release is very unlikely, as Guillemot was reportedly noncommittal, players are speculating that it will not be launched until 2018. In addition to this, the CEO announced the plan to step back and re-evaluate the "Assassin's Creed" franchise. Given that, the company made the decision to delay the release of the game.

Meanwhile, "Assassin's Creed: Ezio Collection" remastered is reportedly coming in November, along with other Ubisoft title "Watch Dogs 2", while it was earlier announced there would be no mainline "Assassin's Creed" franchise releasing in 2016.

With the absence of Ubisoft's most popular game franchise, the company has turned its focus on the much awaited "Watch Dogs" sequel this year, which headlines its E3 lineup. However, it appears that the French company is unlikely to let the year pass without launching anything related to "Assassin's Creed," given the announcement of a November release of the game's remastered version.
