Sony Xperia XZ Release on Sunday: Full Specs, Price Details

Sony Xperia XZ has just started hitting stores in India today. Sony's latest smartphone is up for release in the U.S. tomorrow, Oct. 2. For those considering buying the handset, here's a complete rundown of the Sony Xperia XZ:

Sony Xperia XZ Comes With A 23-Megapixel Main Camera

Let's begin with Sony Xperia XZ's camera, a top-rank one. The Japanese tech giant is particularly in hot pursuit of devising a killer camera once again. Although it is not the first time for Sony to embed a 23-megapixel lens to a smartphone, Sony Xperia XZ notably has this impressive camera component plus Sony's new five-axis stabilization and triple image sensing technology. This innovation in Sony's camera lab is responsible for premium video shoot results even in shaky situations.

Be it in bright environment or gloomy indoors, Sony brings a stunning camera results on the table. The 23-megapixel camera produces accurate and sharp images. However, a review from Indian Express told that autofocus in low-light setup can be quite hard to detect, in return making blurry images. For the record though, you cannot really expect an autofocus to be at its best in smartphone or performs like those of DSLR cameras.

The greatest downfall of Sony Xperia XZ comes when the camera is used for around 20 minutes as the phone's battery will start to heat up.

Sony definitely is in for major camera concentration as the front shooter does not go far away from the main camera with its 13-megapixel lens.

Sony Xperia XZ Introduces Loop Design

Like any other Sony Xperia device, Xperia XZ sports the standard rectangular build. Different functional buttons are situated well on the device. The only thing that is new is the loop design. Sony employs this innovation reportedly for ease and comfort in handling the device even if it is bulky.

Sony Xperia XZ has a 5.2-inch full HD display. This helps expose vivid colors even in broad daylight. Meanwhile, a fingerprint sensor is embedded right on the power button.

Sony Xperia Runs On Impressive But Ordinary System

For a mid-range smartphone, it is never bad to sport mid-range specs. Sony Xperia XZ rocks an impressive Snapdragon 820 processor, 3-gigabyte RAM, 64-gigabyte internal storage which can be expanded up to 200 and a USB Type-C port.

Sony Xperia XZ also runs on Android Marshmallow, which will soon be updated to Nougat.

Overall, Sony does a pretty decent job with Xperia XZ. However, the price point does not sound fine as it is available for around $700.
