The Undertaker has been somewhat of a "Wrestlemania" legend in pro wrestling history. He currently owns the most "Wrestlemania" wins in the company's long history. The Undertaker was the one responsible for "The Streak," which is a hallowed record for consecutive "Wrestlemania" wins of over 21 years before it was snapped by rival Brock Lesnar on "Wrestlemania 30."
Because of this, it is no surprise that fans have always wondered if the Undertaker would return to next year's "Wrestlemania 33". Even though he appeared on last year's show, defeating Shane McMahon in a Hell in a Cell contest, the Undertaker is going way up there in years. His career has spanned a long time and most of his appearances have been sporadic at best. Fans are now speculating whether the wrestling legend will ever return to the event he has dominated for over twenty years.
Rumors say that the Undertaker will make an appearance at Royal Rumble which will be held in his home state of Texas. If this story proves to be true, fans could be looking at the Undertaker feuding with a possible opponent that leads to a historic "Wrestlemania".
It would be a great moment for the Undertaker to end his illustrious wrestling career with a 25th and final "Wrestlemania" appearance. But in order for it to be truly epic, he will need a quality opponent to match the magnitude of the fight. The few wrestlers who could give the dead man a fitting ending are:
- John Cena: No question about it, an aging legend in an epic showdown with a new age superstar is going to be a stellar ending to a brilliant wrestling career.
- Kevin Owens: If the match with Cena does not materialize, then another good option would be for the Undertaker to duke it out with a fast rising star like Kevin Owens.
Whoever the opponent may be, wrestling fans should keep on hoping that the legendary phenom makes a one last ride at "Wrestlemania 33."
