With rumors surrounding the impending Windows Phone 8 flying thick and fast, Microsoft and Nokia have a lot on their plate. Recent rumors indicate that Windows Phone 8 will be unveiled on Sept. 5 in New York.
The Verge apparently received an invite to Nokia and Microsoft's joint press event, which is scheduled for 9:30AM on Sept. 5, 2012 in New York City. Verge's site shows an image of the invite. The image and multiple live tile sizes indicate that more information on the Windows Phone 8 will be divulged at the event.
Although, nobody is quite sure as to what's in store, most of the fans and sites believe that the eagerly-anticipated 4.3-inch Lumia will make its debut at the joint press event..
The latest information pertaining to the upcoming press event date has arrived just a day after it was reported that some of Nokia's upcoming Windows Phone 8 devices are already out. Reportedly, the company has been distributing them to some of the best Windows Phone developers around.
The report stated that Nokia has been providing this new hardware to developers identified as "VIPs", based on the efforts they put in towards releasing Windows Phone 7 apps.
