Skyrim Remastered is among the biggest titles coming from Bethesda. The hype even snowballed to a big one when the studio finally confirmed the arrival of a feature that will support mods on PS4. And as each day passes by, more details about it have surfaced online. While some may like it, others will probably not.
According to Express, mods on PS4 will only cover the files that will arrive alongside Skyrim Remastered as well as its DLC. There are limitations within it, as pointed out by Bethesda's very own Pete Hines. Referring to both internal and external assets, Hines explained that players won't be able to create or develop any new assets (i.e. art, files, new audio, etc.). This leads back to the idea that only files that arrive within the game and its content will be made available.
Just a few days ago, the studio also revealed that they plan to announce the size limit of mods coming to Skyrim Remastered and Fallout 4 in PS4. While a number of fans have been bugging Hines about it, he simply iterated that these will be unveiled along with the game's system requirements and whatnots. It's worth noting that the remastered version is slated to arrive come October 28, so it's only safe to say that the said announcement is only a couple of days away from being revealed.
There are also Skyrim Remastered fans who asked when the PS4 mods will make their way online. But then again, as what Bethesda has been doing since day one, no details have been unveiled. Nonetheless, the community will be informed as soon as the mods appear on Bethesda's official site.
As for Skyrim Remastered players wondering how character creation works, Hines confirmed that it'll stay the same. That although things might appear differently (as they're enhanced visually), the same "Skyrim system" will be utilized.
Since Skyrim Remastered PS4 players won't be able to use any external assets, the process will be pretty much different from Xbox One. Nevertheless, they can do away with the ones that arrive together with the game.
