‘General Hospital’ Spoilers For October 14: Dr. Joe Rivera Is Suspect In Planting Bomb In Julian's Car

In the Oct. 13 episode of "General Hospital," viewers were shown how some characters in the soap reacted to confirmation of Morgan's (Bryan Craig) death, such as TJ (Tequan Richmond), Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). In "GH" spoilers for Friday, Oct. 14, the identity of the person who planted the bomb in Julian's car is revealed.

Dr. Joe Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) was initially an unlikely suspect but quickly becomes one since he had the means and the motive to want the Jerome family to pay for their crimes. The bomb was intended for Julian Jerome (William DeVry) but Morgan stole the car, according to CDL.

Joe came to the Quartermaine mansion in Port Charles to visit Sabrina (Teresa Castillo), the widow of his brother, and nephew Teddy (Eduardo). Joe does not have the looks of a mobster, but his past connection to Sabrina became obvious since he was infuriated by the way Carlos (also Jeffrey Vincent Parise) subjected Sabrina to his life.

Resurrecting Parise as Joe was ABC's way of bringing back the actor, a fan favorite, to the soap after Caros Rivera was killed, according to Michaelfairmansoaps.

Dr. Joe Rivera's Double Life

He was actually just caught in the war between the Jerome family and the Corinthos organization, and the only woman he loved was involved with a Corinthos. Julian murdered his brother. Sonny (Maurice Bernard) tells Joe not to commit the same mistake as his brother Carlos did. His not being surprised by the conversation points to a double life led by the doctor.

On the surface, he bashes Carlos' illegal activity, but he was already plotting revenge for his brother's death. The last straw for Joe was Sabrina becoming a victim of Paul (Richard Burgi), the serial killer. The death of Sabrina in the hands of Paul made Joe plant a bomb intended for Julian.

Corinthos Family Blames Sonny For Morgan's Death

However, it is Sonny whom the Corinthos family is blaming for the death of Morgan, his son. The accusation takes its toll on his marriage to Carly (Laura Wright), according to Hofmag. Carly, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) move out of their home, tired of Sonny's violence.

Sam (Kelly Monaco) discusses with Alexis (Nancy Grahn) the reason behind Morgan's death, while Sam's mother concludes it was Sonny who planted the bomb. Scotty (Kin Shriner) warns Julian to be more careful and blames also Sonny for Morgan's death.

"General Hospital" airs weekdays at 2 p.m. ET on ABC.
