‘General Hospital' Cast News, Spoilers: Steve Burton To Return As Jason Morgan Amid Talk Of Billy Miller’s Contract Expiring

It is not only Bryan Craig who is leaving “General Hospital.” New spoilers hint on Steve Burton returning as stone cold Jason Morgan following rumors that Billy Miller’s contract at ABC would expire in October and there is no confirmation he signed an extension.

Craig’s character (Morgan Corinthos) would be confirmed dead this week in "General Hospital" after an explosion. When the week started, Morgan was only missing in action, but toward the end of the week, he is confirmed dead. Ahead of Craig quitting the show, the actor tweeted about Morgan’s death. While he has said goodbye this early, Morgan would still be seen until November.

Billy Miller's Unconfirmed Contract Extension

In September, Miller was rumored to have signed a one-year extension, but it was unconfirmed. As it is, CDL noted that Miller does not get sufficient screen time as Jason since he is seen only doing short episodes.

When Burton left “General Hospital,” Jason was killed off. Miller was recast in his role, but "GH" fans always considered Burton the original and only Jason. On the other hand, other followers accepted Miller when he replaced Burton because they were Miller’s fans since his days as Billy Abbott on “The Young and The Restless.”

If Miller would leave "General Hospital," it would be timely because Burton would end his stint in “The Young and The Restless” in December, making him available to resume the character of Jason.

Impact of Morgan’s Death On The Family

For the Oct. 12 episode of “General Hospital,” spoilers hint that the death of Sabrina (Teresa Castillo) was not enough for Michael (Chad Duell) because Morgan’s death could send him over the edge. Discovering his brother’s death could be the last straw for Michael.

But Michael’s grief over losing his brother may pale in comparison to grief of losing a child felt by Carly (Laura Wright) who is still in a state of denial. Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) attempts to comfort Carly who believes Morgan did not die and that she only had a nightmare.

In turn, Kiki (Hayley Erin) loses the chance to tell Morgan she wants to be with Dillon (Robert Palmer Watkins). Kiki’s life would never be the same when she realizes the role her mother played in the tragedy, according to Soap Shows.

In other events in Port Charles, Monica (Leslie Charleson) and Tracy (Jane Ellliott) come together to attempt and save the hospital. Laura (Genie Francis) is willing to give Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) a second chance at love, making it the only light at the end of the dark Port Charles tunnel.

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 2 p.m. ET on ABC.
