Michael Jordan’s ‘Space Jam’ Is Returning To Theaters

The movie buffs, fans of Michael Jordan, and those who loved Looney Tunes will be shouting for joy with the news that the 1996 movie, "Space Jam" is making a comeback for a limited time in more than a hundred theaters.

"Space Jam", a movie beloved by the young and old, is celebrating its 20th anniversary since its release. And with that, Warner Bros. have given the go signal to bring back the said movie to theaters to commemorate the 20th year celebration. "Space Jam" will be released in 450 theaters and it is reported to play on two dates only, Nov. 13 and Nov. 16. Fans may purchase tickets online thru Fathom Events.

"Space Jam" is an animated film that got its fame for its actors who included everyone's all-time favorite basketball player and Hall of Fame player, Michael Jordan, and the Looney Tunes characters. The classic movie is about Michael Jordan being sucked into the Looney Tunes dimension because they needed the best help to defeat the "Monstars", an invading alien team, in a game of basketball. The movie featured Bugs Bunny, Lola, Daffy Duck, Tazmanian Devil, Yosemite Sam, Tweety Bird, and a lot more.

It was a movie fit for all ages as it delivered a story with morals. It showcased the feat of having to do one's best while the characters try to prepare themselves for the upcoming game. Aside from Michael Jordan, it also featured other star NBA players as well, who were also sucked into the animated dimension but instead of playing themselves, voiced the alien team "Monstars". These players who also starred in the movie are Charles Barkley, Shawn Bradley, Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson, and Muggsy Bogues.

The movie "Space Jam" starring Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny has garnered over 230 million dollars worldwide and is also reportedly the highest-grossing basketball movie until now. Its theme song of the same title remains a classic as well. "Space Jam" debuted in theaters on Nov. 15, 1996.
