Leonardo DiCaprio Risks Life Again In Filming Documentary 'Before The Flood'; Actor On Near-Death Experience

Leonardo DiCaprio has yet again made another life-threatening move in filmmaking to make a statement in his latest documentary entitled "Before the Flood." Now that he has already won his first Oscar award, is he in line already for his next one?

Leonardo DiCaprio Risks Life While Filming For Documentary "Before The Flood"

"Before the Flood" is a documentary about climate change, directed by Fisher Stevens and executively produced by Leonardo himself. He already made a statement about climate change during his acceptance speech in winning his first Oscar award last February. He believes that climate change is now one of the greatest threats that this world is facing, and it seems like no one gets to notice just how life-altering this problem could be.

Hence, the actor decided to make a documentary about climate change, now entitled "Before the Flood." Reports have claimed that the actor went in so deep underwater that he almost died. It has been a pattern already that DiCpario is best known for the art that he presents in his films, even willing to go through near-death experiences just to present and enunciate his point. Nearly dying on the set of filming "Before the Flood" was not the first time for the actor.

DiCaprio Intensely Makes A Statement About Climate Change In Documentary Film

As it can be recalled, he almost died while filming for "The Revenant." The actor is so dedicated in making his point in movies that he is willing to endure anything. All the more now that he is currently filming a documentary, trying to make a statement about climate change. The director, Stevens also confirmed that it has been something the actor is doing now for years, willing to risk anything for the sake of art and making a point. This is what makes him a good actor, and definitely deserving to win that Oscar award early this year.

"Before the Flood" also features United States President Barack Obama and Pope Francis as well. The film will be released on National Geographic this coming October 30, 2016.
