Blizzard Will Not Address World of Warcraft Legacy Server Issues At Blizzcon

Apparently, despite the efforts of the Nostalrius community, Blizzard will not be addressing the Legacy server issue which has now resulted in a 300,000 petition to create a dedicated legacy server specifically, Vanilla WoW. It would seem that the long wait was for naught as Blizzard released a statement via J.Allen Brack in its community thread saying:

Hey everyone,

We've seen some talk among the community that you might be expecting to hear some news on legacy servers at BlizzCon, and we just wanted to take a moment to let you know that while we're still discussing the possibility, we won't have any updates to share on that until after the show.

These past few months we've been laser-focused on the launch of Legion and getting Patch 7.1: Return to Karazhan ready to go (it's almost here!), as well as prepping for BlizzCon-which is always a huge undertaking itself. You've heard us say that the launch of Legion was just the beginning of the story we want to tell in this expansion. What we will focus on at BlizzCon is how the team is committed to making sure we bring you a steady stream of content going forward, and we can't wait to share what's next for Legion.

Thanks for your patience, and we'll see you at BlizzCon.

The news was hardly received by fans as most of them are now expecting to get the results from the previous talks between Blizzard and the Nostalrius team alongside Mark Kern. If you can remember, based on their official post, the team has said that the talks between Blizzard and team Nostalrius went well and Blizzard has [now] "everything in their hands to fulfill the large community request for Legacy servers."

It just shows that a lot of players are willing to commit to a dedicated Vanilla server even if it entails paying for a monthly subscription for Blizzard. Most of the fans including the community in Nostalrius celebrated the great news. But just now, Blizzard had just dropped the bomb that destroyed the hopes of all fans seeking for a legitimate Vanilla server.

Now that Blizzard has yet to announce any confirmation nor updates of the Legacy server, will Nostalrius make its move? So far, Nostalrius has yet to released any official statement both on their official site and on Twitter. But a lot of fans are already expecting for a definitive response from the team as they've already stated in the past that if Blizzard will not make any announcement that will "honor their own core values" then the team will be the one to do so.

What do you think of this move by Blizzard? Are they really intending to create a dedicated Legacy server to begin with?
