Bret Hart has been on Seth Rollins case as of late, accusing him of being a dirty and a danger to other wrestlers. While fans have been divided on this issue, at least one Legendary wrestler has been clear on which side of the fence he is in.
WWE Hall of Famer Michael Hayes, part of the famous wrestling group called the Freebirds, recently spoke to the Ric Flair Show Podcast. When asked about Bret Hart's recent tirade against Seth Rollins, Hayes has this to say:
"You can't find anybody in the locker room that does not want to work with Seth Rollins. Nobody! And ask John Cena what happened with the nose thing. John will tell you, 'it was my fault'. Sting had this perennial neck problem from years of wrestling. And then, the thing with Finn Bálor, Finn, you know, is supposed to take that thing on your shoulders, on your back. He put his arm back there to brace and there it went."
This was a response to Bret's quote in an interview some months ago. The former champion has this to say about Rollins:
"I wrestled a very realistic and physical style and not once in 23 years did I ever hurt one opponent ever. Seth Rollins needs to improve his technique and become the safest wrestler in the business. I have great respect for Seth. I believe he'll improve and hopefully stop hurting the talent before someone gets killed."
Bret Hart and Hayes have some history together. And it all started with the Hitman not exactly pleased with the Freebirds inclusion to the wrestling Hall Of Fame. He called them "pillheads" and stated that there are far more deserving people who should have entered the Hall of Fame.
Bret Hart for his part has already issued an apology to both Michael Hayes and Seth Rollins. So it looks likes this entire thing might soon be just water under the bridge.
Bret Hart has been known to voice out his strong opinions towards the wrestling world. Love him or hate him, his rants are oftentimes entertaining and a fun read.
