"The Walking Dead" season 7 premiere was considered a huge hit when it aired Sunday, Oct. 23. In this episode, Negan's victims were finally revealed yet the turn of events shocked the show's avid viewers. The Saviors leader upset a lot of fans when he killed two of the most loved characters, Glenn and Abraham, in the much-talked about season 7 premiere. Now, a clip of the death scene of Glenn's wife Maggie has leaked and is now causing a commotion among the "TWD" viewers.
According to Variety, "The Walking Dead" showrunners decided to film multiple death scenes to not give a lead about the upcoming reveal to anyone. Those death scenes were utilized in Rick's sights of their deaths in the premiere.
As for Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the actor who plays Negan, filming the death scenes all over again proved to be challenging. He told Interview Magazine, "Look, that whole episode was hard, and also because I did go through and smack everybody with Lucille at a certain point," he explained. "Everybody took a hit. All of that was hard."
In the alternate death scene leaked right before "TWD" season 7 premiere, Glenn can be heard screaming out in anguish because his pregnant wife Maggie has her head smashed open by the evil Negan. While it was just one of the alternate death scenes, it was still considered hreatbreaking and shocking among "The Walking Dead" fans.
While the AMC zombie apocalypse series is being watched and enjoyed by many, there are still unpublicized scenes that might end up being included in their DVD and Blu-ray version of "The Walking Dead" season 7. AMC has not released any official statement about the "fake deaths" or where they originated from.
On another note, "The Walking Dead" season 7 was slammed by The Parent Television Council for its premiere episode's extreme goriness and violence. Despite the controversy though, the "TWD" producers teased fans that the premiere is just the start of more exciting and gruesome happenings to come.
