MacBook Pro 2016 Updates: Some Latest Developments In Apple's New Laptop

The most anticipated new MacBook Pro is available for pre-order today. However, As for when you'll get it should you pre-order, that's another story, Also, the 13-inch version, with standard function keys and two fewer USB-C ports, will ship the day you pre-order it.

On November 2, Philip Schiller (Senior VP of marketing at Apple) was interviewed by The Independent, where he revealed the company's plans and reaction to the MacBook Pro's announcement. A key point to take from his interview is that Mac and iOS devices will always be separate from each other, where the California-based company won't try to integrate the two together.

He also talks about the removal of the SD card and why Apple chose to keep the 3.5mm headphone jack. That bar also houses a Touch ID sensor, meaning the MacBook Pro is the third Apple product after the iPhone and iPad to include the technology, according to Macworld.

However, based on the latest news, a decrease USB-C accessory prices was announced by Apple last week to help out new MacBook Pro users who might need adapters for a while. Apple has now started automatically crediting customers who bought the reduced products just prior to the announcement.

Today, we'll be examining the $1,499 version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro, the version with the row of function keys in place of the ballyhooed Touch Bar. We'll be examining the other 13- and 15-inch model thoroughly when we can get them, of course, but the $1,499 version still tells us a lot about the design, the keyboard, the new Thunderbolt 3 ports, and about Apple's design priorities and the Pro's target audience, mentioned from Ars Tecnica.

Apple, on the other hand, stops shipping pre-ordered devices prior to shipping estimates, as was the case for some customers with the recent iPhone 7 released. Though we'll have to wait until Apple starts changing orders to "Shipped" to find out which end of its original shipping window it will come to a halt on.
