Black Friday 2016: Limited Edition Nintendo 3DS Available For Only $99.99

A terrific deal for Nintendo fans! Nintendo will launch two special edition New 3DS models-one black, one white, both featuring Mushroom Kingdom characters and imagery in the U.S. starting November 25 (Black Friday). It will be on sale for $99.99 only.

That makes it just slightly more pricey compared to the $79.99 Nintendo 2DS, which is missing features like glasses-free 3D visuals, and half the price of the larger New Nintendo 3DS XL. Both of the new limited editions feature a slick and subtle Mushroom Kingdom print.

Doug Browser of Senior Vice president of sales and marketing, says, "Nintendo has some of the best gifts for the holiday season and whether you're looking for games for the whole family or a cool new system at a great value, Nintendo has you covered."

Mentioned from Forbes, These days, it's nearly impossible to buy a new console of any kind without getting at least one new game bundled in there, somewhere, but that seems to be what you'll be doing here: it's old school that way, like Nintendo.

I'm not totally certain because this press release is from Nintendo itself, which does mean that retailers can still pack things in if they want. I wouldn't expect too much, however - the price is rock-bottom as it is and there's no game mentioned in the box itself. So while the $99 price tag looks real good, it gets a little higher once you consider that you'll need to buy at least one game. If you don't already have a 3DS, you'll also need to buy a charger as well.

This is the first we're hearing of Black Friday deals for Nintendo hardware. If you're looking for a new Playstation 4 or Xbox, numerous retailers will offer the systems (in bundles that include games) for $250 instead of $300, according to Game Spot.

It would be definitely a terrific deal, as you get a great console with large library of great games for a low price, Nintendo announced its latest and upcoming offerings for the platform including, Mario Party; Star Rush, Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and Yo-kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls, and 2017-due games like Pikmin, Ever Oasis, and Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King.
