Pokemon Go Update: Should Niantic Consider Theater Mode In Gyms?

Pokemon Go has been constantly receiving suggestions from the community regarding future feature additions on their upcoming updates. Fans were actively throwing up some update expectations following the first-ever Halloween Event of the game earlier this month. Currently, it seems like the community has something to propose to the developers for the next update and it will be called as the Theater Mode in Gyms.

According to the report from Otakukart, the Theater Mode will enable players to spectate what is happening on the gym during battle. It was explained that even when you are from a distance, you can still watch the gym battle every time, which is not available in the current Pokemon Go version. By this Theater mode feature, players will have a variety of activities to do on the game rather than just sitting and waiting for a wild Pokemon to appear. In addition, players would entertain themselves watching these intense gym battles between the three Pokemon GO teams.

The Theater mode feature can also be used while playing with friends on the same team. Same goes for playing with a friend on different teams, you could watch their battles via the Theater Mode rather than watching their battles awkwardly over their shoulder.

If Niantic would consider this kind of feature, it would be helpful for players to quickly monitor their respective gyms every time it is invaded by other teams. As a result, players can quickly counter the attack by placing Pokemon after a battle. In addition, it will also help players in deciding whether it is necessary to proceed to the attacked gym location or not. The Theater Mode will grant players real-time monitoring on the recent battle rather than watching the storm animation that mostly can cause to lose ownership on several owned gym locations.

Theater Mode is indeed a great suggestion for the next Pokemon Go update. However, the final decision is still on Niantic whether they will consider adding this feature or not.
