The Google Nexus 6P was considered one of the best smartphones last year. Can Nexus 6p compete with the Galaxy S7? We compare the two phones and discussed how they differ in three ways. Both Smartphones take a unique approach to a lot of things. Let's see how each one fights for a spot in your pocket.
The Fingerprint Sensor
The Galaxy S7 edge's front sensor needs a press of the home button to activate the screen before it can sense your finger, and depends on how you hold the phone it can be a tad awkward to reach down and register. The Nexus 6P's sensor just feels so natural, allows you touch the back of the phone to wake to the home screen right away.
The Camera
The Galaxy S7 Edge camera is superior to the Nexus 6P camera however when it comes to low-light performance the Nexus 6P beats Samsung S7. The Nexus 6P tends to capture more "realistic" photos, nearly to a fault as it can always take pictures that are a bit washed out and lacks dynamic range - especially when HDR+ isn't used. On the other side, the Galaxy S7 edge takes too vibrant, warm and sometimes it is really over-saturated photos.
The Speakers
The Galaxy S7 Edge speaker is poor. It's weaker and tinier than the one found in the Galaxy S6 (most likely due to the S7 Edge's water-resistance rating while The front stereo speakers on the Nexus 6P, on the other hand, are a thing of beauty, not only with regards to sound but also for their placement.
The Verdict
The Galaxy S7 edge is arguably ahead of screen quality, easy to use with its smaller dimensions, camera experience, waterproofing and an infinite number of features. The Nexus 6P absolutely gives a cleaner software experience with a proven and tested path of updates, plus great front-facing speakers and also better fingerprint sensor implementation and the camera which captures "realistic photos" than Samsung S7.
