Microsoft's Xbox One Scorpio is, as expected, going to be really pricey, but to what severity does this statement hold true? Are customers ready to spend some serious money or have they already set their own expectations over the Scorpio? A recently uploaded video from Leveup shows Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft's Xbox division, stating about some details on the Xbox One S, which is intended to be the most affordable variant. While he's talking about it, he also said that the Xbox One Project Scorpio is going to be way above the Xbox One S's price range.
Fans are not even surprised
This doesn't come as a surprise to some fans and consumers who had been already been closely following the development and updates of Microsoft's most powerful gaming console platform. In fact, these consumers and gamers even see the upcoming Project Scorpio as way above the PlayStation 4 Pro's league.
According to Spencer
"We yet to officially announce the pricing, but I want to make sure that the investment we are putting into the product of Scorpio will definitely meet the demands of the higher-end consumer and that will be a much higher price," Spencer said in an interview.
Projected Price
Some speculate that the Xbox One Project Scorpio will be priced somewhere close to the PlayStation 4 Pro. While some rather estimate the console to be priced somewhere from $399 to $499. It could even be priced a lot more as Microsoft mentioned the Project Scorpio's advantage over the PlayStation 4 Pro, which is not being able to actually offer some serious real native 4K gaming experience. This may change or alter as the weeks go by.
Specs to look forward to
With 8 projected CPU cores, 320 GB/s Memory bandwidth, 6 TPS of power, a true 4K gaming experience, and hi-fidelity Virtual Reality capabilities, the upcoming Xbox One Project Scorpio will truly be a thing of real beauty. But with such beauty also comes with a hefty price, and that price would be something expensive enough to make the average person think twice about buying the Scorpio or not.
