If things turn out well, BTS’ Rap Monster could just be doing a music collaboration with international rapper, Wale. Just recently, Wale posted a tweet about Rap Monster hinting his interest for a possible collaboration. And to show how serious he is with his proposition, the award-winning international rapper followed BTS' Twitter account.
The tweet was posted just this week so there is no feedback yet from BTS agency or from Rap Monster himself. There are no confirmation as well from Wale’s camp if an agreement has been made or any meeting will be scheduled.
Thanks to one fan who tagged rapper Wale in one of Rap Monster’s cover of his song. When Wale saw his video, he replied with “Collab???!” which could only mean that Rap Monster’s skills have impressed him.
At the moment, BTS is scheduled to have a world tour early next year so they could still be busy with training and rehearsals. This means that if a collab is to happen between the two rappers, it can happen after the world tour when the group has more free time. In addition, BTS will also need to discuss it with the agency. It can be remembered that their agency has decided not to bring BTS in the international market as this was never the path the group is aiming for.
Wale is an international rapper that has done numerous singles that have topped the rankings of Billboard Chart. He has collaborated with different music artist in America including Usher, Drake, Iggy Azalea, Trey Songz and more. A collab between the two rappers will certainly bring more exposure for BTS in the international market which is something that makes their fans very excited.
Just recently, fans of the group have launched an online petition to bring BTS music in U.S. radios. The petition exceeded it targeted number of signatures within days.
