Pokemon Sun And Moon Review: These Monsters Are Cute But They Are Creepy, Really

Pokemon Sun and Moon has been out for less than a week already yet there are hundreds of guides and cheat sheets out there already. Going back to Pokemon, these monsters are just so cute and huggable you forget they're still monsters. However, there are some creepy facts about them hidden in their Pokedex entries. Here are a few of them in case you missed.

Froslass is an ice Pokemon that looked like a graceful ghost (it is, in fact) with its white body. Her Pokedex entry has one of the most disturbing. It says that in Pokemon Sun and Moon, it freezes the humans or Pokemon that it likes. Then, she takes them inside her cave as a decoration. The entry further added that its favorite food is the souls of men.

Another creepy character is the ghost-type Pikachu-mimicking Mimikyu. What makes it creepy is that it has two forms "disguised" and "busted." In its normal state, it pretends to be Pikachu but when it sustained enough damage, its neck gets broken and its head flops. The Pokemon Sun and Moon data about it says that although its head is broken, whatever is inside might still be unharmed. However, it is still sad.

Another cute but creepy monster from Pokemon Sun and Moon is Bewear. The mascot look-alike Pokemon is so strong that it has killed many of its trainers. He doesn't know how strong he is that is why when he expresses his love to his trainers, he ends up squeezing them to death by breaking their spines.

Monsters are not just the creepy ones in the world of Pokemon. Even trainers are creepy themselves. One urban legend that has been going around includes Ratata. One trainer said that he battled with another trainer who used Rattata, which later evolved to Raticate. When he met his opponent again at a Pokemon graveyard, Raticate was not with him anymore. This gave way to rumors that humans and monsters need to hunt and eat as well in the cute world of Pokemon.
