The game world, especially those who have been waiting for the Pokemon Sun and Moon release, got in an excited craze when reports of leaked copies for the game started surfacing. Those who have taken hold of the online access and tried to play the game ahead of its official release got a taste of Nintendo's wrath.
Mario and Zelda are not the only ones fighting off their enemies but their creator as well. Nintendo is doing a good job at fending off hackers who have taken hold of leaked Pokemon Sun and Moon copies. Those who have thought they can go ahead and get away with it found themselves dinged and banned by the company from accessing Nintendo's online services.
An image which contains the error message has been making the rounds in the Reddit and 4chan community. The image was posted by a Reddit user who got the code after using the Wonder Trade feature of Pokemon Sun and Moon's Festival Plaza multiplayer mode.
"This device's access to online services has been restricted by Nintendo. For help, visit support.nintendo.com," indicated the error message.
Looked like he was not the only one who received the error message. Several other users posted the same experience. Some were angry as hell as they found out that they were not able to access all the online services of Nintendo including the eShop. There are those who responded in a much calmer manner hoping the Pokemon Sun and Moon ban was just temporary.
Nintendo confirmed that it indeed issued a band to those who have tried to access Pokemon Sun and Moon online multiplayer mode. A Nintendo representative said in an official statement released to Polygon that "as a result of a number of Nintendo 3DS users using unauthorized versions of several games, and connecting to the official game servers in violation of our terms of service, these users’ Nintendo 3DS systems that stored the unauthorized game code have been banned from Nintendo's online network effective immediately."
