Like in any other Pokémon games, berries on Pokémon Sun and Pokemon Moon have distinct uses. Some of them can heal, others can diminish Effort Values (EVs), etc. A total of 68 berries can be found across Alola, however, as early as the game, there are only close to half unveiled yet. On Poni Wilds, you can find quite a many berries-Chilan, Chople, Coba, Colbur, Haban, Passho, Payapa, Petaya, Salac and Yacha. Chilan Berry can diminish the damage inflicted by a Normal-type attack. Chople and Coba Berries can decrease the damage inflicted by a supereffective Fighting-type attack. Colbur Berry can lessen the damage inflicted by a supereffective Dark-type attack.
