Usually, there are two important reasons why players want to find Ditto in ‘Pokemon Sun and Moon’. One is because it can mimic any Pokemon it is battling with, including stats, skills, and moves. Second is because it allows the player to breed any Pokemon they want in the game easily. Without a Ditto, a player will need to find a female version of the Pokemon they want with another Pokemon that comes from the same or compatible egg group. This task takes forever to complete, especially if the Pokemon is hard to find. But fortunately, Ditto is in the game and this guide will help every player find and catch them.
Where To Find Ditto in ‘Pokemon Sun and Moon’?
Ditto is usually found later in the game as the player reaches Ula’ula Island. This island is the third island in Alola Region they will visit as they progress through the game. Players will need to finish Melemele Island and Akala Island first before they reach this island. Ditto should be found in the bushes of Route 10 which leads to the Hokulani Observatory.
To get there, players just need to go to the port city of Ula’ula Island, Malie City, and go straight until they find a dirt road. Continue walking until they find a bus stop and wait for the bus. The bus will be heading to Hokulani Observatory. Then just go down the road until players find a guardrail opening with a ramp. Head to the ramp and players should see the bushes where Pokemon are usually found, particularly Ditto.
How to Catch a Ditto in ‘Pokemon Sun and Moon?
Now catching a Ditto can take quite a time. Although he is usually found on Route 10, his spawn rate is very low so it takes a while to make him appear the first time. But when he does appear, he can be caught just like any other normal Pokemon. Do keep in mind that Ditto has a very low stat so be careful with what Pokemon you use and its level. It is always advised to use False Swipe when battling with a wild Pokemon a player wants to keep.
