There have already been a lot of questions popping out about "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 as it nears season finale. Before taking a break, episode 9 had shown a couple of cliffhangers that left viewers with uncertainties. The latest question for now pertains to Alex's fate. If he's able to get away with his case, will he be able to go back to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital?
Alex's Status Quo
It has been a rough road for Alex (Justin Chambers) this season following the spate of untoward circumstances that has been challenging him. The most difficult yet is the fact that he's facing legal charges filed against him by Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti). He has to take his stand: whether or not to accept the prosecutor's plea bargain agreement. Whichever way Alex chooses to embark on, he'll have to face adverse upshots. To accept the plea deal means he'll go to jail; to let Jo (Camilla Luddington) testify means she's putting herself in danger of being tracked by her abusive husband.
Alex's Fate
From where Alex is standing, it seems like he'll choose to accept the deal and protect Jo which is what he's been doing for her this whole time. He's battling accusations in court right now primarily because he's trying to protect her, and allowing Jo be found by his husband will shatter what he's done for her all these years. On the other hand, if Andrew decides to withdraw charges against Alex, he could be freed even without jail time and Jo doesn't have to make a heartbreaking decision. Regardless, what happens to Alex after the case? Will he be able to go back to Grey Sloan? Here are the chances:
Will Alex Be Fired?
One factor that Alex will not be able to go back to Grey Sloan is the fact that he's been in danger of being fired. Remember back in episode 6 when Catherine (Debbie Allen) pressured Bailey (Chandra Wilson) to kick out Alex after the charges broke out? Bailey argued that Alex is innocent until proven guilty. In case Alex accepts the plea deal and the fact that he's guilty, will Alex be fired? That's something that viewers should be watching out for.
Can Alex And Andrew Coexist?
In the meantime, if Alex will be able to go back to Grey Sloan after jail time, the tension between him and DeLuca would certainly rise up. Are there any chances that they could both stay at the same workplace without causing troubles again?
