"Pokémon Sun and Moon" Episode 5 titled "Ashimari, Give It Your Balloon!" has been released and fans were able to see an exciting episode focused on the water type Pokémon Popplio (Ashimari). Check out how this adorable Pokémon saves the day in the recap below.
"Pokémon Sun and Moon" Episode 5: "Ashimari, Give It Your Balloon!" Recap
In "Pokémon Sun and Moon" Episode 5, Ash and the rest of the Pokémon School students were tasked to learn Pokémon fishing with the help of Lana (Suiren). Lana is known for being good with the said skill thus the instructor asked her to be a special lecturer for the said activity.
Since Ash doesn't have a fishing rod, Lana decided to lend him one. On the way to pick up the rod, Ash, Pikachu, Lana, and Popplio had a short stop. Apparently, Lana wants to show Ash about Popplio's water balloon skill which they have been practicing every day.
It was revealed that Lana's dream is for Popplio to create a huge water balloon, capable of having a person inside. Lana shared that she dreams of getting inside a big balloon and travel in the deep sea. She hopes to meet rare deep sea Pokémon as well. And it might just come to fruition soon as Popplio gets better day by day. Along the seashore, Popplio showcased its skill as it blows a massive water balloon, reaching 250%.
Meanwhile, the evil Team Rocket watched Ash and the group from afar, plotting yet another act of mischief. Will they succeed this time?
"Pokémon Sun and Moon" Episode 5: A Fun Fishing Day
During the fishing class, everyone flaunts their fishing rods with their respective Pokémon replica as bait. They all went to a spot where both shallow and deep-sea Pokémon meet and gather together. Lana even teased that they might even catch the legendary Pokémon Kyogre which excites everyone.
Ash, along with other students cast their fishing rods aiming to catch a Pokémon. As expected, Lana was the first to catch not one but multiple Pokémon including Mamanbou. Meanwhile, Pikachu who seems to be testing the water with its tail accidentally caught a big Kolking. Unfortunately, the sea Pokémon got away. On the other hand, Lillie unexpectedly caught a huge Milotic (Milokaross). Of course, Lillie panicked and so the rare Pokémon got away too.
"Pokémon Sun and Moon" Episode 5: Lana And Popplio Save The Day
The fun-filled activity was about to take a break when the evil tandem of Team Rocket arrives to ruin the day. Jessie (Musashi), James (Kojiro) and Meowth (Nyarth) captured all the ride Pokémon - the Laplaces and Hoerukos - as well as other smaller Pokémon.
Ash, Pikachu and Rotom joined forces to release the trapped Pokémon. However, the move will be risky as the trapped creatures might be accidentally hit or injured. Still, Ash pushed through with his attack and successfully released the trapped Pokémon.
As the Laplaces, Hoerukos, and Pokémon are about to hit a big rock, Lana and Popplio stepped up to save the day. Popplio swims in the water and creative a gigantic water balloon to catch all the falling Pokémon. The creatures hit the balloon and bounced safely into the water.
Team Rocket then launched Mimikyu's Shadow Ball attack. Again, Popplio's balloon blocked the attack, making it bounce back to Team Rocket. Rowlet (Mokuroh) then used its Leaflet attack to bring down the enemy's ride. Jessie, James, and Meowth were taken away by Bewear (Kiteruguma) as it ran fast on water.
At the end of "Pokémon Sun and Moon" Episode 5, Popplio blew another big balloon, taking in Ash and Pikachu. The balloon flew a bit before bursting in the air, letting Ash and Pikachu fell into the water. Check out the English-subbed episode below.
