'Dawson’s Creek' Star Katie Holmes Speaks About Possibility Of Series Cast Reunion

Rumors of a "Dawson's Creek" reunion have been circulating online making a lot of 1990s kids excited. Katie Holmes, a star of the classic drama series, has finally talked about the hearsay though what she shared would disappoint the show's avid fans.

As "Dawson's Creek" fans remained hopeful of a possible nostalgic reunion, Holmes has recently addressed the speculations on the series revival. In an interview with SiriusJM's "Just Jenny Show," the "All We Had" actress shut down the possibility of seeing a get-together with the other "Dawson's Creek "stars Joshua Jackson, James Van Der Beek, Michelle Williams and Kerr Smith.

The interview held on Tuesday, December 6 probed and fished for more information about the so-called "Dawson's Creek" reunion. Holmes unfortunately shattered all the 1990s teens' hopes with a simple line: "I don't think we're going to do a reunion."

She then explained the reason why, saying: "We did grow up, but we see each other every now and then. I think that the charm of the show was Kevin Williamson's writing and it was of that time and it gave teenagers this voice. It was a very, very special time - a special show and I loved every minute of it."

The 37-year-old actress went on to say that though she may not be taking Joey Potter's role for a reunion anytime soon, she still believes that like her, "Dawson's Creek" fans can keep all the positive memories from the show that ended its run in May 2003.

"Dawson's Creek" was a famous drama series that revolved around a small, tight group of high school friends. The show lasted for six seasons and aired from 1998 to 2003. The series' main characters were comprised of Joey Potter (Katie Holmes), Dawson Leery (James Van Der Beek), Pacey Witter (Joshua Jackson), Jen Lindley (Michelle Williams) and Jack McPhee (Kerr Smith).

A consolation for "Dawson's Creek" supporters is that a mini-reunion took place earlier this December at Matt Damon's "Manchester by the Sea" party in Los Angeles. Williams, Leery and Van Der Beek were photographed to be present on the occasion.
