The big news was out on the hour-long Dec. 6 episode of "The Voice" season 11. The top four are moving onto the finals of "The Voice" but some were sent home after coming this far. The question is who are the coaches to be represented in the finale?
With every coach rooting for all their singers, their anxiety was pacified by great performances from One Republic, Blake Shelton, Jennifer Hudson and Hannah Huston. The first contestant to be announced safe is Billy Gilman from Team Adam Levine. Gilman's piece made it to the top 1 of iTunes charts this week making his achievement a bit foreseeable.
One Republic graced the show with an intermission of their new song entitled "Let's Hurt Tonight." Afterwards, the top 8 witnessed a personal tour to visit the "Hairspray! Live" set. Diva Jennifer Hudson gave them pieces of advice as to how they can do more in their music career.
The nerve-wracking announcement continued as Carson Daly presented Sundance Head from Team Blake Shelton's team. Once again, hints of him making it to the top 4 were dropped as his piece made it as top 2 in the iTunes charts in the same week.
Breaking the tension among the teams, Hannah Huston sang her new song entitled "I Have Loved You." The show went on and the third to be announced was We McDonald from Team Alicia Keys. This left coach Miley Cyrus the only coach without a representative yet. The bottom two were sent home as the remaining three will be asked to sing for a spot in the finale.
Shelton then went to perform his new single entitled "A Guy With a Girl" paving a more energetic vibe in the crowd for the final announcement. The three chosen to fight for a spot are Ali Caldwell from Team Miley, Josh Gallagher from Team Adam and Christian Cuevas from Team Alicia. As for the two who were sent home, it was Aaron Gibson from Team Miley and Brendan Fletcher from Team Adam.
The first to sing was Cuevas with "I Can't Make You Love Me" followed by Caldwell with "Sledgehammer" and Gallagher with "I Drive Your Truck." After their performances, a final commercial break gave time for the final results. Gallagher was announced the last contestant to make it to the final four.
The top four finalists will be performing on Dec. 12 and Dec. 13 with a mission to earn most of America's votes. Only then will fans find who "The Voice" season 11 winner will be.
