After ten long years, "Code Geass" Season 3 finally gets the green light. Fans of the hit animated series were pleased to know that their beloved show will make a comeback soon. But what really excites them the most is the alleged return of Lelouch Lamperouge.
Recently, rumors are rife that Lelouch Lamperouge will be making a grand comeback in "Code Geass" Season 3. This is despite the fact that his character was killed off in season 2. There were several theories as to how the main character makes his way back to the story.
A rumor suggests that Lelouch Lamperouge possesses the power of code which basically makes him an immortal. According to reports, the main protagonist acquired the said code from his father whom he killed in Season 2.
Another rumor claims Lelouch Lamperouge was in fact, the driver of the crane where CC was laying. It was pointed out that in "Code Geass" Season 2 finale, the last scene somehow focused on the said driver which implies that he could be a key role in the series. Many speculate that it was Lelouch Lamperouge.
One interesting theory about Lelouch Lamperouge's return in "Code Geass" Season 3 is his alleged time-travel after the Zero Requiem. With him dying in season 2, many fans find it fitting to do such plot so as not to confuse or ruin the flow of the series. However, none of these claims have been confirmed so far.
According to reports, the third installment of the hit animated series will be called "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection." However, no exact release date has been announced yet.
Aside from the series, Sunrise confirmed that the franchise will also get a three-part compilation movie in line with its 10th-year-anniversary event. According to reports, the said trilogy will recap all 50 episodes of the original "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion" and "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2." The first installment is expected to release in 2017.
