Dota 2 has been considered as one of the most successful and biggest MOBA games today. It has been decades since the first Dota was released and it continues to grow as time passes. As of now, the MOBA has hosted numerous tournaments for their players where the most notable is their annual major tournament called The International. Currently, the game has entered a new era as Valve released the full details of its brand new update which brings massive changes to the game.
According to the report from Game Rant, some players dubbed the update as Dota 3 since it's a complete overhaul of the entire game. The change ranges from the skill changes of the heroes to the landscape of the game's map. Apparently, to some fans, Dota 2 was considered as the near perfect example of the MOBA genre and through the efforts of Valve, the game has evolved every single aspect of the game for it to be improved from time to time.
Based on the report, the company has made lots of changes to the game which can be found on Update 7.0's patch notes. However, the most immediate change is the inclusion of talent trees. These talent trees are significant of Blizzard's successful game title entitled Heroes of the Storm. Apparently, it is said that lots of the changes found in Dota 2 Update 7.0 seems to aim about making the game more accessible to players having no experience within the genre. In addition, it would also be easier for players to transition to the game which are from either League of Legends or Heroes of the Storm V.
Another significant feature from Update 7.0 is the arrival of the new hero named Monkey King which seems to be an innovative and dynamic addition to Dota 2's deep gameplay mechanics. As seen on the preview, Monkey King has the ability to climb up trees.
