As previously reported, Niantic has released several species of the generation 2 Pokemon via Egg hatching. While some trainers had their own generation 2 of Pokemon right of the bat, others are still leaning on sheer luck just to acquire their first gen 2 Pokemon. Thankfully, some dedicated players have shared a hatching rate chart to guide those players who are left wondering how this new hatching system works.
According to the report from Otakukart, a study has been conducted with two thousand egg hatches. A reddit user identified by its handle Wyattpeak has explored that frequency of hatching each generation 2 Pokemon. To highlight, this hatching rate is based on the current generation 2 Pokemon that is present on the game. Meanwhile, the chart shows the frequency of each generation 2 Pokemon hatching from the egg instead of displaying the actual number of rate.
Based on the chart, Togepi obtain the highest number of expected hatch with 125 and a frequency of 0.80% on a 5kM egg, followed by Pichu with 40 (frequency of 2.48% for 5KM), Cleffa comes in third with 21 (frequency of 4.67% for 2KM), Smoochum at fourth spot with 19 (frequency of 5.26% for 10KM egg), while Elekid (frequency of 7.60% for 10kM egg) and Igglybuff (frequency of 7.98% for 2KM egg) tied at 13 apiece and Magby comes in last with 12 having a frequency of 8.19% for 10KM egg.
Below the chart, it was noted that the frequency is referring to the percentage of appropriate eggs which hatched into that Pokemon. For instance 2K egg for Cleffa and Igglybuff and so on.
Additionally, the expected hatches refer to the number of suitable eggs it will take on average to find one. Apparently, it is expected that Elekid, Magby and Iggylybuff are the most-frequently hatched Pokemon amongst others. Lastly, it is worth noting that Togepi's expected hatch number of 125 is not comparable to 10kM values since 5KM eggs drop more frequently than 10kM, same goes for the case of 2KM Eggs.
