It's no secret that Ark: Survival Evolved isn't completely done. And of course, both the community and developer Studio Wildcard know it. Hence the latter is rushing to get things settled. Actually, the studio is almost there. And when the completion arrives, a major change can be expected -- nerfed dinos, that is.
In an interview from Daily Express, the lead developer and co-founder of the studio Jeremy Stieglitz revealed some significant information about the future of Ark: Survival Evolved. One is the plan to deal with a couple of over-powered creatures, something that has caught the ire of most fans. This is really interesting, given that this isn't the first time it's going to happen.
Nerfing dinos seems to be a consistent thing in Ark: Survival Evolved. Since the game's official release, Studio Wildcard has done it several times. Take for example the massive specie called Giganotosaurus -- this one here has been a target every now and then. Unfortunately, Stieglitz and his team aren't done yet.
For the lead developer of Ark: Survival Evolved, the likes of the aforementioned dinosaur is "still too damn strong." He pointed out that as the game nears its final balance, players can expect more of these changes to happen. The process is whenever the studio adds new features, tamed creatures will be weaken a tad more.
As for the "cool new features," Stieglitz revealed that they'll be coming soon to Ark: Survival Evolved. The first one is to be expected to arrive on January 20, only it'll arrive on PC first. It's worth noting that this Tek Tier was first scheduled for December last year. This update is expected to introduce new sci-fi-themed weapons, gears and armors, among others.
Aside from the initial plan of nerfing Ark: Survival Evolved dinos, special gears for mounting and attacking are to be expected as well. The power armors, for instance.These basically allow players to gain the ability of constructing underwater structures. For the creatures, a laser-like beam will be given.
