Samsung Galaxy S4: Which UK Carrier Should You Pick?

Samsung's much-awaited Galaxy S4 smartphone is set to make its way to European markets first, and come April 26 consumers in the UK will be able to lay their hands on the device.

With several UK carriers already having the Galaxy S4 for pre-order, here we give you a lowdown on the available deals, to help you decide which carrier is right for you.

1. Vodafone

Vodafone UK is offering the GT-I9505 model of the smartphone with 16GB of storage. The Galaxy S4 is available in both Black Mist and White Frost.

Picking up the Galaxy S4 on a two-year contract will set you back anywhere between £0 to £69 with an applicable monthly fee. The plan, however, does not support 4G LTE.

If you opt for the one-year contract instead, the Galaxy S4 will cost anywhere between £29 and £179 upfront with an additional monthly fee.

The off-contract price of the Galaxy S4 is currently not listed on the carrier's website.

Vodafone will start shipping the phone April 26.

2. Everything Everywhere (EE)

Network operator EE is offering the GT-I9505 model of the Galaxy S4 with 16GB of storage, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU and 4G LTE support. Consumers have the option of picking up the Galaxy S4 in either Black Mist or White Frost.

Picking up the Galaxy S4 from EE on a two-year 4G LTE contract will set you back by £269.99 upfront with £31 per month. Alternately, you could opt for the £19.99 upfront with £76 per month.

The carrier also has several other 4G LTE two-year plans as well as one-year contracts. Currently, EE does not list the off-contract price of the Galaxy S4 on its website.

The Galaxy S4 is now up for pre-order and will take up to 28 days for delivery according to EE's website.

3. Three UK

Three also has the 16GB version of the GT-19505 up for grabs in either black or white. The Galaxy S4 is available for free on the carrier on two-year plans: Ultimate Internet 500 (at £35 per month) and The One Plan (£37 per month.)

Currently, the price of the SIM-free variant is not known. Like Vodafone, Three is expected to make the Galaxy S4 available after April 26 as well.

4. O2

Like most UK carriers, O2 also has the 16GB variant of the Galaxy S4 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU and 4G LTE support up for pre-order.

Consumers can pick plans that cost between £0 to £179.99 upfront (on a new two-year contract) along with monthly charges. The cheapest contract on offer will set you back by £32 per month, whereas the most expensive one is £52 per month

The Galaxy S4 is available in Black Mist and White Frost and will launch on April 26. The off-contract pricing for the smartphone has not been revealed by O2.

"Pre-order by 4pm Thursday 25th April and get your phone on launch day - Friday 26th April. While stocks last," notes O2.
