Every since iOS 10 rolled out, famed hacking group Pangu has stayed silent and has not been able to produce a jailbreaking tool. This has left the door open for other hackers to step into the spotlight. However, Apple has done a notable job in keeping these activities at bay, as it has rolled out update after update in a relatively quick fashion.
As Neurogadget notes, Pangu is set to release its iOS 10 jailbreak tool soon, especially since Apple is scheduled to release iOS 10.2 to the public soon. However, the publication reports that it is possible that Pangu will wait until the update is rolled out, as it means the tool can be used for a longer period of time.
Pangu's reputation is on the line, but if history is anything to go by, the Chinese hacking group will eventually release its jailbreaking tool. The publication even mentions there might have been tools for older versions of iOS 10, but as nothing was released this cannot be verified. The most recent release was for iOS 9.3.
But as Mobile & Apps adds, there are other options for those still looking to jailbreak their Apple devices. The publication notes that Luca Todesco is working on his own device, though he has successfully released a Yalu took. The problem is that there are certain limitations to the same. For example, Todesco has gone on the record and stated that his jailbreak tool only works on 64-bit iOS devices and it is virtually an iPhone-exclusive tool.
More importantly, however, Todesco's jailbreak tool is still undergoing beta testing. This means that bugs and other issues are still bound to creep up. Users are thereby advised not to download the same and those that do decide to push through with it are asked to take caution. It is unsure what kind of glitches there are and what kind of damage they might cause.
