Is Star Wars Battlefront 2 Getting A Reveal Before E3?

A lot of people are looking forward to the release of Star Wars Battlefront 2 which, unlike Battlefront, will be taking place in the timeline of the new trilogy. So far, no announcements or teasers have been leaked on the game, but rumors have it that Battlefront 2 could officially be revealed before the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) hits this June.

According to Game Fragger, EA is planning to bring back their pre-E3 event, EA Play. EA Play was an event that held community contests, and it was also a site where EA got to announce any of their upcoming games. With EA Play set to come before E3, it is possible that the company could take this opportunity to announce Star Wars Battlefront 2.

To those who may not know, EA Play was initially a sort of booth held at E3, but last year, developers took a step back from tradition and decided EA Play to be held as its own event. With E3 2017 set to begin in June 13, EA Play will be held at the Hollywood Palladium from June 10 to June 12.

Fans of the current Battlefront should not also fret on the arrival of Battlefront 2. Some have voiced their concerns online that this sequel may lead to EA dropping any chances of enhancing the first Battlefront game, but the company has confirmed that they will continue adding upgrades to the game, and a list of patches has been recently revealed online as well.

While the first Battlefront game focuses on the timeline of the original trilogy, Battlefront 2 is set to focus on the newer timeline that was launched by "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" back in 2015. With that in mind, players can expect playable versions of Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) arriving to the game.

No official release date has been set for Star Wars Battlefront 2, but it's sure to come out in 2017, before the release of "Star Wars Episode VIII" on Dec. 15. Hopefully the game gets announced on EA Play when it hits June 10-12.
