Supercell has done a great job in introducing special events in Clash Royale. The special events are highly anticipated by most fans that it's currently ranked #1 on their site's poll for the most preferred Tournaments in the game. For this week, fans are enjoying the Draft Challenge which requires 100 Gems for a single entry (Grand Draft Challenge). Despite the costs of these special events, fans still love to partake on one of these challenges which is why, most of them are wondering: "Why not make them permanent?" Today, Supercell clarifies this concern in an elaborate yet simple answer.
Clash Royale: Special Events
In Clash Royale's subreddit thread, one post has garnered a lot of attention and upvotes by asking Supercell to make some of the most popular Special Events, like that of the Draft Challenge, to be added permanently into the game. Most of the fans agreed with the idea to make the post known so that Supercell will notice the thread and hopefully get a reply from the studio - which they did. And here's what Supercell has to say about these special events:
"Our current thinking is that Special Event Challenges are special and fun because they're not available all the time. You know what they say about too much of a good thing!
This may change at some point down the line, but for the time being that's how we're feeling - even towards the Draft Challenge, which is our favorite too!"
The reply was received with mixed reactions from some fans especially as the Special Events provides not just pure fun but also serves as a training ground for most players. As one can remember, the Electro Wizard Challenge enables full access on all cards at tournament standard which provides players a glimpse of what the cards would feel like at max level. Moreover, the Draft Challenge gives players the ability to think outside the box and make use of other cards for their deck.
Although fans are a bit disappointed by the reply, the studio is making the best for the game and everyone will be seeing more surprises in the next couple of updates. One of the most anticipated changes will be the next Major update that is expected to be released by the end of January.
