We've got both good and bad news for Destiny: Rise of Iron fans as Bungie confirmed that they will not be celebrating another Crimson Days event for this year. But following this revelation, the studio has hinted that a major update will soon fall this coming spring. Could this be the highly anticipated Destiny 2?
Destiny: Rise of Iron Major Update To Come On Spring
In the Bungiee Weekly Update, David "Deej" Dague, the studio's community manager confirmed that the will not be hosting another Crimson Days for this year primarily because the Live Team is working on "something else." To keep the fans from falling from boredom, the developer insinuated the release of the next major update that will come into the game by saying:
"Their next content update is taking shape. We're super excited to tell you about it - but not so excited that we'll jump the gun. There will come a time when we'll take a seat on our streaming set to talk about how we'll spend the springtime together. That moment will come closer to the thaw."
Is the developer foreshadowing the upcoming Destiny 2? As of the time of the writing, neither the developer nor the studio has announced the release date of Destiny 2 which has been elusively kept from the public. Regardless, it's safe to say that Bungie has definitely delivered an astounding performance especially with the release of Rise of Iron where the game had seen a spike in revenue as reported by Blizzard during their quarterly financial report.
Players may not be getting their February event but it's good to know that Bungie is preparing for something with which, many can look forward to for this year. Dague ended the blog by stating that the players "haven't heard the last from the Live Team." That alone is a good news for everyone, isn't it?
